Paneer Mutter Masala / Mutter Paneer Masala / Paneer Peas Masala


Mutter Paneer
This Paneer Mutter Masala is one of my kids favorite paneer recipe. I tried this from Vachef's youtube video and have tried it so many times and every time it come out perfectly. One of our family favorite gravy for Naan. Simple and easy to make recipe with great taste.
Paneer Peas Masala
Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 20 minutes
Serves  4
Ingredients
  1. Paneer    1 cup(cut in to cubes)
  2. Frozen Peas   1/2 cup
  3. Onion    1 big (finely chopped)
  4. Tomato    1 big (finely chopped)
  5. Ginger Garlic paste   2 tsp
  6. Coriander leaves   few(finely chopped)
  7. cashew nuts   5-6 no.s
  8. green chillies    2no.s(finely chopped)
  9. cumin seeds/jeera   1/2 tsp
  10. turmeric powder   1/4 tsp
  11. Chilli powder     1/2 tsp
  12. Coriander powder     1 tsp
  13. Cumin powder    1tsp
  14. Kasoori methi   1tsp
  15. clove    2no.s
  16. Cardamom   2 no.s
  17. Cinnamon    1" stick
  18. Bay leaf   1no. small
  19. Heavy cream    1/2 cup(optional)
  20. Salt     as needed
  21. Oil   2 tbsp

Method
  • Heat a tbsp oil in a non stick vessel add broken cashew nuts and fry light golden brown.
  • Then add the finely chopped onions, sprinkle some salt and fry till golden brown.
  • then add turmeric powder and  ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell leaves.
  • Now add the finely chopped tomatoes and saute till it becomes soft and mushy.
  • Then turn off the stove and let it cool for few minutes and blend it to a fine paste.
  • Again in the same vessel heat another tbsp oil and add whole garam masala(clove,cinn,card,bay leaf)
  • then add cumin seeds,let it splutter .
  • Now add the blended fine paste (onion-tomato) and saute for few minutes.
  • Then add 1 cup of water,chopped green chillies ,cumin powder,chilli powder and 
  • coriander powder and enough salt,mix well .
  • Let it boil for about 15 minutes in a medium flame.
  • Then add some kasoori methi (crush with ur hands) to the boiling masala.
  • Again let it cook for another 5-10minutes till it become little thick and add peas to the gravy .
  • Stir well and cook covered for another few minutes.
  • then add cubed paneer pieces and chopped coriander leaves and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • At last add cream and stir gently and simmer it for few mnitues.
  • Now the Paneer mutter masala is ready to serve hot with any indian bread or Naan etc
