This is a simple n easy stir fry,ready in few minutes. This is a great side dish with any kind of meal of any cuisine. Good as side dish with rice n rasam, chapathi/tortilla, as a sandwich stuffing and even as a snack. We love this simple recipe to the core...adding garam masala is completely optinal nad the same stir fry can be done with freshly ground pepper powder instead of chili powder.I think,broccoli is the only veg luks pretty n colorful even after cooking...here u go..
Ingredients
- Broccoli 2 medium crowns (cut in small florets)
- Onion 1 no.(sliced in to Julienne)
- Curry leaves few
- Garlic 2-3 large flakes(finely chopped)
- Turmeric powder a pinch
- Chilli powder 1 tsp
- Garam masala 1 tsp(optional)
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
- Salt as needed
- Oil 2-3 tsp
- Heat oil in a large sauce pan,add cumin seeds allow to splutter and add garlic,curry leaves and onions,fry till onion turns transparent.
- After that add broccoli and all dry powders,salt and stir well.
- Do not add or sprinkle water and no need to cover and cook also.
- Just keep stir frying till the broccoli turns soft and cooked.(it takes only 4-5 minutes).
- Once it done...tastee broccoli stir fry ready to serve as an accompaniments of your choice.
