Pineapple Peach Kesari Bath


          Pineapple Peach Kesari bath is noting but a normal rava kesari with pineapple and peaches.I used fresh riped fruits.Very sweet and delicious kesari with kids favorite fruits.Sanju kutti likes this very much and even my Hubby also appreciated me :) .So easy recipe and simple,try this n impress your kids :)

Ingredients
  1. Pineapple   1 cup(finely chopped)
  2. Peach    1/2 cup (finely chopped)
  3. Rava/Sooji    1 and 1/2 cup
  4. Water   3 cups
  5. Sugar    1 cup and 1/4 cup (adjust acc. to taste)
  6. Butter/Ghee    1/4 cup
  7. Yellow food color   a pinch(optional)
  8. Cashewnuts     12-15 no.s
  9. Raisins    10 no.s
  10. Cardamom powder    1 and 1/2 tsp
  11. Almonds    5-7 no.s(blanched n sliced or striped)for garnishing
To make cardamom powder
Heat a pan ,when its hot add one cup of whole green cardamoms and roast lightly for few seconds and remove from the stove.Now transfer the roasted hot cardamoms to a blender and add 1/2 tsp or little more of sugar and grind everything to a smooth fine powder and collect it in an airtight container for future use.This is more flavorful and fresh when compared to store bought.

Method
  • Heat 2tsp of ghee in a sauce pan and roast the rava/sooji nicely till get nice aroma n light golden color and keep aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of ghee/butter in a non stick vessel and roast the cashew nuts and raisins separately and keep aside.
  • In the same vessel add another tbsp of ghee and add the chopped fruits (pineapple and peach) and fry till it turns little tender and lightly cooked.

  • Then add 3 cups of water,pinch of salt and food color ...stir well and cover it and allow to boil.
  • When it starts boiling,turn the heat to low and add the roasted rava little by little and stir continuously without any lumps.
  • Keep stirring till rava gets cooked and add sugar,stir well .
  • Once the sugar gets dissolved completely and raw smell leaves add cardamom powder and mix well.
  • And add remaining ghee/butter and stir continuously till the kesari starts leaving the sides.
  • Lastly add the roasted cashewnuts and raisins mix well and tur off the stove.
  • Close it with a lid and leave it undisturbed for 1-2 minutes.
  • Thats it....delicious pineapple peach kesari bath is ready. Serve warm/Chilled.

  3. I have eaten pineapple rava kesari but that too in restaurants...and combining both fruits sounds too good...will give this a try for Nandini.
