Punjabi Fruit Chaat Recipe | Indian Fruit Chaat Recipe | Mixed Fruit Chaat - Street Food Recipe

Fruit Chaat Recipe
Today's recipe is an interesting, healthy and delicious Mixed Fruit Chaat that is popular in Punjab, India. I came to know about this tangy, spicy and refreshing chaat from my Neighbor Aunt. During summer holidays time I often take my kids to Aunt's home to play their with Aunt's  grand kids. Once we were there Aunt made this chaat for us as Mid day snack. This chaat was new to me since I haven't tasted fruit and potato together and also never tried with Chaat Chutney/Tamarind Sweet Chutney. She used Sweet Potato for the chaat, but she also said that regular potato/aloo can also included in the fruit chaat but usually they are deep fried than boiled. Also the sweet potatoes pairs well with tamarind sweet chutney. .For this chaat, i used Dates Tamarind Chutney but you can also use plain Tamarind Sweet Chutney (without dates)This fruit chaat is healthy, filling and delicious. Do try this fruit chaat for a change and I am sure you will love it.

Vada Pav Recipe | Vada Pav With Spicy Dry Garlic Chutney Recipe | Vada Pav(Mumbai Street Food Recipe)

Vada Pav Recipe
Vada Pav is a popular street food of Mumbai, nothing but a soft Pav buns served with Batata Vada, green chutney and spicy dry garlic chutney. When I made this last year I tried with Homemade Pav Buns and Chaat Garlic Chutney, that time I was so tired and stressed because I baked Pav Buns and with the fresh pav made Masala Pav and Vada Pav(with Batata Vada) all on same day. It was really a tiring day and now I am wondering how I made everything single handedly on one day?! I didn't even concentrate on presentation and for name sake clicked few pictures, when compared to this new Vada Pav pictures, the pictures I took on that was too simple. Fortunately or Unfortunately, due to my laptop crash all my food pictures got deleted. So, now I am preparing all those recipes again with new and fresh pictures.

Likewise, adding yogurt/curd to chaat is purely optional.

Sev Puri Chaat Recipe | Sev Puri With Spicy Garlic Chutney Recipe For Chaat | Red Chutney For Chaat

Sev Puri Chaat
Easy Sev Puri Chat recipe with step by step pictures. "Chaats" the name itself enough to make anyone drool and I am not exceptional. I love to try all the chaats at home and except 1 or 2 recipes I tried almost all the chaats. My favorites are Pani Puri & Dahi Chaat but my kids and V love this Sev Puri Chaat more than other chaats.
I have tasted Sev Puri chaat in Devon Ave, they serve Sev Puri with crushed Puris, potato and chaat chutneys but  In some shop they serve the whole puris stuffed with potato, chaat chutneys and generous fine sev.  I followed the former method as have control with the puris quantity and also used the flat and non puffy puris.

Masala Pav Recipe | How To Make Mumbai Special Masala Pav Recipe | Masala Pav Chaat Recipe

Masala Pav Recipe
Masala Pav is a popular roadside chaat of Mumbai. Like other chaats I have tasted Masala Pav in my Hometown, Tamil Nadu too. Masala Pav is nothing but a spicy onion-tomato masala curry stuffed between soft butter toasted Pav(Soft Buns/Dinner Rolls). This tastes so good and spicy and I love it more than Pav Bhaji.
I don't have any Idea about how they make the curry for Masala Pav until I saw Nalini's Post. Thanks to Nalini for sharing this easy peasy method, only thing I changed is I prepared the masala separately in a kadai and toasted the pav in griddle with butter and then added the masala and stuffed it. This is so yummy and addictive chaat, my kids loved it a lot and asked me for more but I didn't have enough masala. And Next day made it again for their lunch as Masala Pav Sandwich. So whenever, you plan to try this make sure you make enough masala, as it is addictive even kids will not stop with one masala pav :) Now off to the recipe

Pav Bhaji Masala Recipe | Mumbai Special Pav Bhaji Recipe | How To Make Bhaji Masala | Step By Step Recipe

Pav Bhaji Recipe
Pav Bhaji Masala Recipe with step by step photo. Today's recipe is a Mumbai Famous Pav Bhaji. Pav means Soft bun and Bhaji is mashed kind of vegetable curry with potatoes and other vegetables. Of all the chaat/street food recipes, Pav Bhaji is V's most favorite dish. I too like it but not much like him and the kids too. They love to have this bhaji masala with rotis, dosa, bread and even with Jeera Rice. So whenever I make bhaji masala for Pav I make it in bulk so that they have it for all three meals with rice and rotis too. I learned this Bhaji Masala from my Neighbor Friend 4 years back when we were in WI. She only suggested me to add a small Indian Eggplant/Brinjal along with potato and other vegetables to make Bhaji. Brinjal adds some nice buttery flavor and taste but it is optional. If using brinjal try to use tender and fresh small brinjals for fine taste.  I always prefer to add more vegetables to the curry but alternatively you can make this bhaji with potato and peas alone. Adding mixed vegetables gives good taste and flavor and also it is healthy. Try my Pav Bhaji Masala next time and do share your feedback. But I am sure, you will love it !

Masala Puri Chaat Recipe | Peas Masala Puri Chaat | How To Make Masala Puri Chaat

Masala Puri Chaat Recipe
Chaat is my favorite snack and I love all varieties of Chaats. In India we used to enjoy Chaats at Hotel & chaat Shops. Amma doesn't know to prepare any chaat, she only makes Masala Pori & Beach Style Sundal Masala. So, Once or twice a month we go out to eat Chaats. But after coming here after Marriage I missed eating chaats and after moving to New Jersey, we enjoyed some tasty Chaats at Hot Breads. Then with the help of my North Indian friends, You Tube videos  and food websites I learned to make different chaat recipes at home. As everyone at home loves chaat, I often make simple chaats like Channa Chaat, Bhel Puri, Peas Masala Chaat at home. I always have Chaat Chutneys in my fridge. I prefer Dates Tamarind Chutney instead of Tamarind Chutneys for chaat. So I make it bulk and also it stays good for a month. If you have chutneys in hand, then making chaat is so simple and quick.
Now coming to the Peas Masala Puri,  is nothing but a Peas Masala served with crushed puri, chaat chutneys, onion, tomato & finally topped with generous sev. You can make any desired Peas Masala gravy like Green Peas Masala or Yellow Peas Ragda. I used my Green Peas Masala recipe and the chaat turned out super flavorful and delicious.

DAHI PAPDI CHAAT RECIPE | PAPDI CHAAT WITH CURD | EASY CHAAT RECIPES

Dahi Papdi Chaat
Dahi Papdi Chaat| Dahi Chaat Recipe is a refreshing and delicious snack made using deep fried papdis served with generous yogurt/curd, Chaat chutneys & boiled chickpeas. Chaats are my most favorite snack and i love all kind of chaat items. Chaats are tongue tickling, refreshing and filling snack. It makes me happy, fresh and i have no words to describe my love for chaats. Also, I love Yogurt/Curd in any form and would like to have plain yogurt/curd with Idly, Dosa, Rotis, Upma, fruits and include it daily in my diet . And Chaats with yogurt/Dahi is a double treat to me. I can simply have a bowl full of plain yogurt mixed with Sweet Tamarind Chutney. I never get bored with chaats & yogurt.
Today's recipe is one of my favorite Chaat, Dahi Papdi Chaat. This time I used store bought Papdis & Sev and only made Chaat Chutneys at home. If you have chaat chutneys ready in hand, then you can make any kind of chaats in a jiffy. I added less yogurt for picture & Presentation, since that time no one was at home and I clicked almost 5 recipes continuously, 3 chaat and other two recipes. So just for pictures, I added little curd & chutneys so that the papdis will not turn soggy sooner, But be generous with the addition of Curd & Chaat Chutneys for a delicious Dahi Chaat.

Channa Chaat | Aloo Channa Chaat Recipe | Chickpeas Chaat Recipe

Channa Chaat
Channa Chaat Recipe / Aloo Channa Chaat with step wise pictures. Channa Chaat is a simple, healthy and refreshing Indian style Salad with chaat chutneys, fresh onion, tomato and cilantro. I love all kinds of chaat, the name is enough to make me feel fresh and good. Love anything with chaat chutneys. Instead of making Channa Sundal I made this channa chaat, this is a zero oil, vegan, healthy, filling and delicious snack. I had pomegranate in hand, so added few pom seeds to the chaat. The sweet and mild sour taste of pom seeds took the simple chaat to next level. But Channa Chaat can be made without pom seeds too.
