Healthy Breakfast Thali / South Indian Breakfast Thali


Today is special day for our friends and its a Birthday of a Wonderful Friend of us, Manjula who blogs at Desi Fiesta. Manju is such a sweet person whom I came to know her via Facebook just 5 months back. From the day one i never felt that she is a new friend, she really has some magical power/spark with her which really attracts everyone who talk to her. She is so bubbly, jovial and lovable person with whom i can share both my joys and sorrows. We talk daily and we talk a lot and i got to know more about her. She always bring a smile/laugh on my face while chatting.


Manju is a Rajasthani Home maker who hold a Home Science Degree. Though she is a North Indian she speaks Tamil so well and love South Indian recipes a lot. She love cooking, baking and of course blogging and she love photography and now she learning and improved a lot in her pictures. Manju has more interest and passion towards food photography and me too learning with her :) Her blog, Desi Fiesta contains lots and lots of Innovative recipes and watermelon halwa, rasagulla black forest cake , Orange Rasam are more notable. Her Popular event Let's Cook Buddy for non-bloggers where she cooked n blogged their recipes on her blog and even awarded gifts to the winners. She even gave me the opportunity to judge recipes for her event Round up. Thanks again Manjula and am honored and very happy to do it for you.
She is also an Enthusiastic Blogger who loves to participate in all Events and Giveaways and even won few Giveaways for her innovative recipes. Manjula is an Energetic Blogger who come up with many recipes in short period of time and her Rajasthani Thali, she made for SNC event is notable. So we friends decided to cook a Thali for her Virtual Birthday Party. Hope she enjoy and like all our Yummy Thalis.

Now coming to the Healthy Breakfast Thali with Apple Honey Oats Milkshake, I know Manjula loves South Indian Breakfast like Idli, Dosa, Paniyaram so i decided to make a Breakfast Thali with Healthy touch using Brown rice. Then Why Apple milkshake? since she takes apple daily in her diet which is the secret for her charming beauty and health ;) So a simple recipe with her favorite apple :)

Cracked Wheat pongal with two chutney & sambar
Apple Honey Oats Milkshake
This is a delicious and healthy drink with a combo of fresh apple, honey and oats with milk. Perfect breakfast drink more delicious and filling drink.

Ingredients
  1. Apple      1 apple (peeled & chopped, i used Red Delicious apple)
  2. Honey     1 tsp or to taste
  3. Oats        2-3 tbsp (rolled oats or quick cooking oats)
  4. Cold Milk      2 cups( low fat milk)
Method
  • Wash apple, peel skin and chop into cubes then take it in blender, add honey, oats and run it for few seconds.
  • Then add milk and blend it to a smooth juice.
  • That's it transfer to a serving glass, drizzle honey or chocolate syrup and serve immediately.
