  5. Curry leaves    few
Notes:
Use 1 or 2 days old Yogurt/curd but not too sour curd.
Instead of wheat rava you can also use regular rava/sooji
Tadka with coconut oil add lovely flavor and taste to the paniyaram, but you can use any desired oil & add 1 Tbsp shredded fresh coconut.
Instead of Paniyaram you can also make Uttappams/ Small Pancakes.
Instead of grinding whole grain oats, can also use whole grain Oats Flour.

Method
  • In a blender jar, add whole grain oats, wheat rava, rice flour, green chilli and blend everything to a fine flour and transfer to a bowl.
  • To the ground oats flour, add yogurt, jeera, turmeric powder, salt, hing and combine well.
  • Using water(I used 3/4 cup water) make it to a smooth batter.
  • Now to the batter add in finely chopped vegetables, coconut oil Tadka mix well and if needed use couple o of spoons of water and make it to a thick Adai dosa batter consistency.
  • Let the batter rest for 10-15 minutes. Resting the batter makes the rava little soft and it adds nice crispness to the paniyaram.
  • After that, heat a paniyaram/Appe Pan when its hot add oil on each hole and pour less than 1/8 cup of batter on each hole(depending on the size of the pan).
  • Let it cook for a minute or two, then flip other side and let it cook until turns crisp.
  • Cook in medium heat until both sides are cooked crisp and golden brown.
  • Once done, remove the Oats Paniyaram from the pan.
  • Serve Oats Paniyaram hot with some chutney & Sambar.
