Indian Style Brussels Sprouts

Most of the kids are fond of Potato and my kids too. So I add some potatoes in their least favorite vegetables and make it a combo dish and this Brussels Sprouts Stir Fry is one such recipe. To the simple Brussels Sprouts stir fry I added some potato cut into sticks shape and also to make it little spicy and tasty added Readymade Chicken 65 Masala Powder. This way the Brussels sprouts gets roasted crisp and nice.

Indian Style Brussels Sprouts Fry

Ingredients
  1. Brussels Sprouts   1 lb(thinly sliced)
  2. Potato   2 Medium(cut into thin sticks)
  3. Onion   1medium(sliced)
  4. Ginger Garlic Paste   1 tsp
  5. Turmeric Powder  1/4 tsp
  6. Red Chilli Powder  1-2 tsp
  7. Chicken 65 Masala   2 tsp
  8. Salt   to taste
  9. Oil   2-3 Tbsp
  10. Fennel seeds    1/2 tsp
Notes:
I used Aachi Brand 65 Masala Powder, you can use any available brand or simply skip that and use 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder, 1 tsp Corn Flour, 1/2 tsp Curry Masala Powder.

Method
  • Chop all the veggies and keep ready.
  • Heat oil in a cast iron Pan or heavy bottomed non-stick pan, when its hot add fennel seeds and let it splutter.
  • Then add sliced onions, and stir fry for a minute then add ginger garlic paste and stir fry until raw smell leaves.
  • Now add potato sticks, 1/4 tsp salt, turmeric powder and stir fry for a minute and cover the pan with lid and cook in medium heat until the potatoes are cooked soft but not fully.
  • After that add Brussels sprouts and mix well, and cook covered for a 2-3 minutes.
  • And then open the lid, mix everything gently and add chilli powder and Chicken 65 masala powder, enough salt for the dish and stir well and cook without covering the pan.
  • Let the masala powder get roasted with the veggies nicely for a minutes.
  • Once everything cooked and roasted nicely switch off the stove.
  • That's it Spicy Brussels Sprouts Stir fry ready, serve as an accompaniment with Rice & Sambar or any Variety Rices. We had with Plain rice & Instant Pot Sambar.
