Mushroom Fried Rice Recipe, Quick and easy Chinese Fried Rice Recipe flavored with garlic and Mushroom. I have already share the recipe for Restaurant Style Fried Rice Recipe with lots of vegetables, bean sprouts and also a Spinach Masala Fried Rice Recipe with Indian spices/Garam Masala. This Mushroom Fried is a simple lunch box recipe that can be prepared in a jiffy. As mushrooms doesn't require more time to cook, this is perfect to Make Fried Rice. Chinese & Indo-Chinese recipes are our family's favorite ones and it is most welcomed anytime. I do not use more sauces and always prefer to make it light and simple. This Mushroom Fried Rice is one such simple one with great taste and flavor and the recipe as follows...

Mushroom Fried Rice

  1. Cooked & Cooled Rice   1 and 1/4 cup
  2. Mushroom,sliced   7 oz
  3. Onion  1 small(thinly sliced)
  4. Spring Onion White  2 tsp(finely chopped)
  5. Carrot  2 tbsp(cut into thin stripes, i used2 baby carrots)
  6. Capsicum/Bell Pepper  1/4 cup (thin stripes, i used gree, red and orange bell pepper)
  7. Soy Sauce   3/4 tsp
  8. Fresh Ground Pepper  1 tsp
  9. Chilli Flakes   1/2-3/4 tsp(or to taste)
  10. Sugar   1/4 tsp
  11. Salt   to taste
  12. Garlic   1 fat clove(finely chopped)
  13. Spring onion, green  2 tsp(finely chopped)
  14. Oil   1/2 tbsp
  • You can use any kind of rice - Basmati Rice, Brown Rice,Jasmine Rice, Sticky Rice & Chinese Sweet Rice. I used Basmati Rice.
  • Cook Rice ahead and cool it completely before starting the preparation.
  • Heat oil in a iron skillet/kadai or heavy bottomed pan, add garlic and chilli flakes and fry well until garlic turns crisp and golden brown.
  • This helps to get the flavorful rice and oil gets spiced and flavor from chilli flakes and garlic.
  • Then add sliced onions and finely chopped white part of green onions and saute for 1-2 minutes.
  • And then add carrot stripes, sliced mushroom and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • After that add capsicum stir for a minute then add ground pepper, sugar and salt and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • Then add cooked rice, soy sauce and stir fry the rice with vegetables for 3-4 minutes in medium heat.
  • Lastly add some more ground pepper and finely chopped spring onion green and mix well and switch off the stove.
  • That's it..Flavorful Mushroom Fried Rice ready. Serve Hot with Gobi Manchurian, Chilli Chicken or Chicken Manchurian.
Adding soy sauce to the rice and stir frying give good flavor and color to the rice.
But if you prefer to add soy sauce to the vegetables then you can add along with pepper and fry them.
You can also skip chilli flakes and add green chilli or chilli garlic sauce in the recipe. IF so, add along with ground pepper.
Adjust pepper and chilli flakes to your desired spice level. The above is a medium spicy Fried Rice.
