One such friend is Sobha, we never talked, chatted but have shared full length messages n mails :) She never failed to wish me on any special moments & occasions and me too. We have few things in common (lil' personal), may be that also one of the reason for our intimate friendship. Hope & wish to continue our friendship forever !!!

Now, I present U Sobha, in her own words.

Thank you Sangeetha for giving me this wonderful opportunity. Though I am not active in blogging now, I am really excited to do this guest post for you. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this and I am really glad to be a part of your lovely space J

Spicy Treats is a real treat to our eyes as well as our taste buds. I enjoy this space for Sangeetha’s great recipes and lovely clicks, above all the cooking passion and creativity of my dear friend. In today’s competitive world, where there is a scarcity of good hearts and true friends, I am happy to have you as one of my close friends J I wish you and Spicy Treats my best wishes and success for the coming years.

I am sharing an easy, healthy and yummy cookie recipe - Eggless Thumbprint Wheat Cookies or also called by some as Jam Cookies. It’s our recent favorite, so thought of sharing this one as my guest post. The ingredients are simple and less, can be made in a hurry too. I am sure kids will find these interesting and delicious, perfect for them with a cup of milk J I have used Red Rasperry jam here, but other options you can  try are Nutella or Peanut Butter as topping. Hope you will enjoy these cookies.

Eggless Thumbprint Wheat Cookies /Jam Cookies

Makes about 14  cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup Wheat Flour

1/3 cup packed light Brown Sugar

6 tbsp softened unsalted Butter

3/4 tsp Vanilla extract

2-3 tbsp Milk

Jam as needed

Method:

Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and keep aside.

Beat the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Now add the vanilla extract and mix.

Add the flour a little at a time and beat until well combined. Gather this to form a dough, if required add milk.

Make equal sized balls out of the dough and place them on the tray leaving adequate space between them.

Using your thumb make an indentation at the center of each ball and shape the cookies with your hands if necessary.

Drop a little jam in each of the indentations in the cookies. Bake them for about 15 minutes. (All ovens vary, so keep any eye on them)

Allow them to cool completely and then the cookies are ready to munch on!!

Store them in an airtight container.

Notes:

* You can add white sugar instead of brown sugar and can also replace wheat flour with all purpose flour.

* If the dough is difficult to handle, then cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Then start making balls.

* You can also add chopped nuts or raisins while making dough or sprinkle them on top of the cookies before baking.
