Aloo Methi Mutter Sabzi

       
          Potatoes/Aloo is my H's favorite veg.He loves anything with aloo. Almost all weekday's dinner will be chapathi/roti, so my toughest job was to make yummy and healthy side dish for dinner's roti and also it should be liked by my H as well my Kids...Too tough job rt?? And this Aloo methi mutter sabzi is one such side dish made for our dinner delight.Very quick and easy recipe.I used fresh methi and frozen peas.Here's the simple yet tasty sabzi recipe...

Ingredients
  1. Aloo/Potato    3 no.s medium
  2. Methi leaves     1/4 cup 
  3. Mutter    1/3 cup
  4. Onion    1 large (finely sliced)
  5. Garlic    2-3 pods(finely chopped)
  6. Tomato   2 medium (finely chopped)
  7. Turmeric powder  a pinch
  8. Chilli Powder   1 tsp
  9. Garam masala Powder   1/2 tsp
  10. Cumin powder   1/2 tsp
  11. Salt     to taste
  12. Oil    3 tsp
  13. Cumin seeds    1/2 tsp
  14. Mustard  seeds   1/4 tsp
Method
  • Boil Potatoes and then peel the skin and mash them lightly and keep aside.
  • Wash n clean methi leaves and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and cumin powder wait till splutter and then add sliced onions and saute for 1-2 minutes.
  • Then add chopped tomatoes and saute lightlly but not mushy.
  • After that add methi leaves and peas ,stir fry for a minute and add turmeric powder and mix well and fry for another one minute.
  • Now add chilli, garam and cumin powder and stir well and fry for sometime.
  • Then add mashed potatoes,enough salt and keep stirring till the masala get mixed with potatoes.
  • That's it...Aloo Methi mutter Sabzi is ready now...serve hot with any rotis or pooris.
