- Pineapple, chunks 1/2 cup
- Simple Syrup 1/4 -1/3 cup
- Ice Cubes 1/2 - 3/4 cupMethodFor Simple Syrup :Take 1 part sugar 1 part water in a sauce pan, bring it to boil the sugar dissolves and slightly thickens. Allow to cool and use it in the recipe. You can store this syrup in an air tight container in the refrigerator for a month or more.
Wash and wipe ripe mango, cut into 2 big slices and scoop the pulp alone and add it to the blender.To it add fresh pineapple chunks, simple syrup and ice cubes and blend till it is fine and smooth puree.Transfer the blended smoothie to a serving glass and top it with fruit jellies or fresh fruit chunks and serve immediately.Notes:Use sweet and ripe mango varieties to make smoothie.I used less than 1/4 cup of syrup as my fruits were naturally sweet.Instead of combo, you can also make a Plain Mango Smoothie or Pineapple Smoothie the same way.
