Last month V bought a whole Jackfruit from Farm Fresh Market Store, yes., the whole fruit. We get Jackfruit here during season time but not as a whole fruit, they cut the whole fruit into 6 or 8 pieces and wrapped individually for sale. But this year, luckily got the whole Jackfruit here and that too the fruit was fully ripen with nice pretty golden color, tasted so so sweet and delicious. Even the honey dipped jackfruit will not taste that much sweet. We enjoyed the fruit to the core. First, I thought will make Kerala style Payasam and Halwa using that Jackfruit but you know the sweetness and the color of the fruit was so tempting and ended up eating them as such. I only tried this yummy and filling smoothie using Jackfruit and Banana Combo. So before the jackfruit season ends, try this tropical fruit smoothie and enjoy.

My kids usually prefer lemonade or mocktail kind of drinks and very rarely likes milk based drinks that too only milkshake and Strawberry Milkshake is their most favorite of all. Milkshake or smoothies can be prepared with very less or available ingredients. These less ingredients recipes sometimes does magic in our kitchen sure to please everyone with its deliciousness. And one such simple recipe is this Strawberry Milkshake recipe. Also these milkshake/smoothies are easiest way to feed fresh fruits to the fussy eaters. But my kids they prefer milkshake or smoothies only if it is prepared with strawberries or Banana or chocolate.

Today's Recipe is another easy and delicious drink made using yogurt and ripe Mangoes, Mango Lassi. Lassi is a simple yogurt based drink and it can be made both savory and sweet drink. Sweet Lassi can be made with fruits also and here I have used fresh Ripe Mangoes and flavored with cardamom. Of all the fruit-yogurt based drink, this Mango Lassi is one of my most favorite drink. I love cardamom flavor in my lassi but it is purely optional.You can even top it with some chopped pistachios also. There are lots of recipes for Lassi, some uses more yogurt and less milk, few even add some cream for rich and creamy taste but I like to add equal amount for fresh Yogurt and milk. After a short break of five days, today am back to blogging and feeling happy for the same. I planned to share few Valentine's Day special recipes but because of my personal issues I could not make it up this time. Except this pink Strawberry milkshake i don't have any related recipes for the occasion. Since Pink & Strawberries are a part of Valentine's Day celebration. Any one there who doesn't like these two? I know the answer will be a big No. So a simple, hearty and delicious Pink treat for your loved ones.
This is a simple Strawberry Milkshake with Vanilla Ice cream and Almonds. Almonds have paired well with strawberries and milkshake tasted so delicious. More than my kids i loved it a lot. Instead of a plain fruity drink just try adding some soaked nuts to it for a even more filling and tasty milkshake.

Fresh Papaya Juice / Papaya Grape Juice - Vegan Papaya Juice

For Vegan Thursday today I am sharing a simple but healthy Papaya Juice Recipe using Papaya, Grape and Strawberry. We take Papaya regularly and for me its a compulsory since Papaya has tons of nutritional benefits - good for Eyes, skin and the high content Anti oxidants helps to reduce cholesterol and also controls premature ageing, the high fiber and low calorie nature helps in weight loss and a natural blood purifier and body cleanser. So without fail at least once in 10days we take papaya. This time the Papaya was bit over ripe, I like the perfectly ripe fruits not the over ripe ones except Mangoes. So again the over ripe Papaya turned into this delicious drink along with some grape, strawberry and with the hint of lemon. Over all a power packed drink with tons of benefits and filling drink that is perfect for breakfast or take it as a snack when you are on diet or if you need a healthy, low calorie & filling snack. As all my fruits were well ripe and sweet i added only 1/2 tsp to balance the sweet & sour.

Papaya Orange Cooler / Papaya Orange Juice

Today's recipe is super healthy & refreshing drink, Papaya Orange Cooler. Papaya is not liked by many of us particularly kids but it has tons and tons of nutritional benefits. Its good for Skin, Eye, Blood Purification and the list goes on. The same with Orange too, vitamin C rich, antioxidants rich, helps to improve natural immune system. So this combo of fruit juice is loaded with nutrition as well perfect delicious & refreshing drink for the hot sunny days.
I am an exceptional and i love Papaya but my kids doesn't like papaya. And also they do not like milk based juices and prefer non dairy cool drinks like Orange Mocktail a lot. More over few days back it was too hot here and I wanted to make some juice to stay hydrated. So, tried this Papaya & Orange combo with lemon punch and it turned out so good,  even if you hate papaya try it this way am sure you will definitely love it. Ok lets move on to the recipe quickly.

Cantaloupe Strawberry Smoothie / Low Fat Milkshake

I love smoothie for my Breakfast, so refreshing & filling ones. You can blend any combo of fruits/Nuts  with milk or yogurt to make a perfect breakfast smoothie. Recently i tried Cantaloupe & strawberry combo and it turned out awesome. Even my kids loved it who generally doesn't like milk based juice/smoothie. But Mocktails are their most favorite drinks.
Cantaloupe & Strawberries are rich in antioxidants, controls blood pressure, good for skin and has anti ageing properties and above all both the fruits taste so so delicious and the colour of the fruits really attracts everyone, that too the heart shaped strawberries definitely a favorite fruit of many of us Right?! Generally its good to include more fruits & veggies in our diet and smoothie are one of the best way to add more fruits in single serving. Am trying this kinda smoothie for my breakfast n snacks.

Orange Grape Juice

After a severe cold winter for the past six months now here at our place Summer started and we really like/need this kind of warm weather. At the same time the hot sunny days really need more thirst quencher to make ourself hydrated & feel refreshing. Juices/popsicles/ice creams are one of the easiest way to stay include more seasonal fruits & stay hydrated. I mostly prefer fresh juices/smoothies without dairy products from fresh fruits which are coolant by nature & healthy too. Recently tried this Orange & Grape combo and this fresh juice require only some fresh grapes, oranges & little water, if needed add sugar or any sweetener &  just mix everything that's it..so refreshing and delicious summer drink ready to keep you cool n fresh. If u haven't tried this combo do give it a try, am sure u will love it.

Mango Banana Strawberry Smoothie / Breakfast Smoothie

Today's recipe is also a summer special drink with the season's fruit Mango. To make this even more nutritious and delicious i tried adding banana and strawberry. The combo turned out really good and we loved this yummy smoothie. This is very filling and perfect for breakfast n good thirst quencher too. As its contain banana and mangoes this is not a low calorie drink but loaded with vitamins & minerals. I usually do not add sugar/honey to my drinks and this smoothie also doesnt require any artifical sweetner, sweet from the fresh fruits itself enough but if u wish/want u can add it very well.
