I even tried kozhukattai with this filling and it also tasted so delicious so friends plz give it a try am sure u n ur family will love it. Obattu with whole wheat flour also turned so soft and its very easy to roll when compared with maida. Now to the healthy and yummy Whole Wheat Poli...

  • Remove from tawa/griddle, smear some more ghee on the hot poli.
  • Yummy Puran polis are ready to enjoy !!!  Enjoy it Hot or Warm.

Notes:
If u have left over filling u can make kozhukattai or Suzhiyam or Boorelu.
Instead of black eye bean u can also use other legumes like channa/chickpeas, Red chori/Thattai payir, etc.
I made the poli using oil only, still it tasted so delicious and also its completely Vegan.

  5. What a healthy treat it is, Sangeetha! I'll definitely make some and probably add more turmeric/curcumin powder. And I remember, it looks like "Piaya" in the Philippines. They both look the same. Not just so sure on the ingredients. :)
